I know fashion ... do you ?

So I bet you're sitting there asking yourself, what makes me qualified to run a fashion blog?

I grew up in MidMo ... with my Arizona Jean Co. wardrobe and my Nike t-shirts.  Then one day, I found myself with a pair of white Calvin Klein jeans.  Probably from that point in time forward, I knew fashion.  Albeit, growing up in a middle class blue collar family of four, I didn't have the opportunity to venture into the world of fashion very often.  And fashion in Sedalia was maybe The Brass Buckle or Maurices.  I remember how excited I was when I got my first Z. Cavaricci outfit.  Don't laugh, you know you were excited when you got yours too...of course no one had to know that mine came from the Half-Priced Store in Independence, Mo.

When I was about 16, I realized that not only could I drive ... but that I was fabulous ... and gay.  It's funny how that changes things in a twenty-something thousand person town.  And all of the sudden how you dress and what you wear become awfully important to you.

Flash forward 15 years.  Still living in MidMo, but a definite upgrade from where I was born and raised.  And of course, I'm still gay and fabulous!

Those who know me, know that I'm a quiet guy, and I don't often have much to say and keep to myself.  But trust this, I'm always watching ... and looking.  And chances are, I'm telling someone what I'm thinking and from this point forward, it'll probably be this blog.

I have a critical eye.  I will probably judge you.  Don't think for one moment that I won't notice that you wore the same pair of jeans two days in a row.  Or that that particular shirt is your Monday shirt.  I'm always watching, I know that those shoes don't really go with your outfit, but you're just hoping that no one will notice your feet.

So there it is, the gauntlet has been thrown.  Comment and arguments are welcomed.

And here's a taste of where my next blog will go ...

Can you be too matchy matchy?
